The taco bar is for the spouse, or the kiddos to pick and choose what they would like in a taco bowl as well- no need to make them a separate entree!
Maybe you have already done your grocery shopping for the week but who doesn't love an easy dinner with quick prep and yummy leftovers? We hear all the time that you need family and kid-friendly dinners instead of making your prescribed food in addition to another family meal for everyone else. This should be reasonably quick and require very little cooking ability but be refreshing and fun for everyone- get after it!
Family meal ideas with simple and clean ingredients. Use ground meat, simple taco seasonings, optional fajita veggies and then a taco bar set-up that will satisfy your meal plan and everyone around the table with you.
2. The Meat!
Choose either: 98/2 or 96/4 Ground beef, 96/4 Ground Bison, or 99/1 Ground turkey breast
Begin with browning your ground meat on a medium heat; use a squirt of non-stick cooking spray. About 6-7 minutes in, or halfway through cooking, add a packet of seasoning. Continue browning and then set to simmer.
We use a gluten free taco seasoning from HEB to accommodate my husband's allergy but use whatever you like, or make your own! We also choose the ground turkey so that lunch is already done for tomorrow!
